Datuk Seri Abu Bakar Abdullah will be PSD DG from July 1
KUALA LUMPUR (June 15, 2010): Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Seri Abu Bakar Abdullah has been appointed Director-General of the Public Service Department (PSD) effective July 1.
Abu Bakar, 55, succeeds Tan Sri Ismail Adam, 60, whose tenure ends on June 20.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Sidek Hassan said in a statement here today that the appointment had received the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong who acted on the advice of the prime minister.
He said Abu Bakar was selected based on his experience, expertise and integrity to raise the performance of the civil service through various reforms and approaches.
Abu Bakar holds a master's degree in International Studies from the University of Denver, United States, and a bachelor's degree in History from Universiti Malaya.
He started service on Sept 19, 1977, and had served as deputy secretary-general in the Federal Territories Ministry, Prime Minister's
Department and Defence Ministry.
Sidek said he was confident that Abu Bakar had the ability to lead the PSD, especially in realising the objectives of the fourth Strategic Thrust of the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) to develop and retain a first-world talent base.
He also recorded his appreciation to Ismail for his 38 years' contributions to the civil service and the country.-- Bernama

Semalam nani tiba-tiba tanya "iz, kanser servik tu apa ye?"..aku pun terfikir, topik ni macam perlu je letak dalam blog..sebab mesti ramai tak tahu kan mengenai kanser servik ni..tak kira perempuan ke lelaki kena tahu..yang lelaki kena tahu supaya lebih be aware dengan pasangan ok?
Kanser servik atau kanser pangkal rahim merupakan kanser kedua paling tinggi di kalangan wanita Malaysia..huuhu.memang kat Malaysia sekarang anggaran lebih kurang 18 orang wanita dari setiap 100,000 penduduk mengidap kanser ini. Fuhhh..sungguh menakutkan..
Kalau korang nak tahu, golongan orang-orang yang selalunya dan berpotensi dapat penyakit ni,,
--> dah lakukan hubungan seks pada umur yang sangat muda..sekarang ni kan ramai je kawan-kawan perempuan kita sekolah lagi dah buat hubungan seks padahal kahwin pun belum kan..
--> pasangan yang bersilih ganti..hari ni dengan orang lain, esok dengan orang lain, lusa dengan yang lain pulak..adoiiyyy..be careful ye kawan..
-->mengandung lebih 5 kali..ada anak ramai sangat berpotensi ye..
-->pernah ada jangkitan kuman melalui hubungan seks..contohnya HPV. HPV tu macam ketuat pada vagina kalau tak salah la..kalau salah betulkan ye..
-->kurang jaga kebersihan kat bahagian sulit..kena rajin cuci dan jaga ye..bahaya kalau biarkan bahagian tu kurang bersih.
-->smoking.. kawan2!! please stop smoking!!rokok boleh dapat macam2 penyakit tau!!
--> anti body lemah pada penyakit-penyakit berjangkit..
Tanda- tanda penyakit ni,
- Darah yang keluar banyak dan lama dekat vagina..yang pastinya bukan darah period, pastu dia akan ade rasa sakit.selepas hubungan seks..kadang-kadang yang keluar tu darah beku dan benda ni sama jugak pada orang yang dah putus haid
- Cecair putih yang berbau dan bercampur darah keluar dari vagina pun salah satu tanda-tandanya..
Melalui info yang dicari..kanser ni boleh dikesan walaupun penyakit ni biasanya terjadi bila umur kita 40-60 tahun nanti sebab sebelum terjadinya sel kanser, tisu-tisu servik akan berubah dimana sel-sel luar biasa iaitu dysplasiaakan mula dikesan.
Perasan tak ada satu iklan kanser servik dalam tv yang menyuruh kita buat ujian pap smear?
So, melalui ujian pap smear tu la yang membolehkan dysplasiaboleh dikesan. Bila result ujian pap smear kita positif doctor akan teruskan kaedah colposcopy, kalau keputusan kita menunjukkan adanya invasive kanser..ujian-ujian yang lain akan dijalankan pula..
So kawan-kawan, untuk mencegah kanser servik ni ..
Amalkan cara hidup yang sihat!!!
Setia pada pasangan anda!!
Lakukan pap smear setiap 3 tahun!!
Pergi klinik dan buat ujian pap smear..kalau tak buat lagi ok!!
